JANEX LAUNCHES NEXgen WINDOW AND DOOR RANGE

Unbeatable energy efficiency
One of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of timber windows, timber composite windows and high quality composite doors, Janex, is launching a new range of window and door products at ECOBUILD, Excel London 1st March 2011.

Offering unbeatable energy efficiency, manufactured to full Chain of Custody and FSC certification, the new branded “NEXgen” products will help construction companies and developers achieve high code levels in the Code for Sustainable Housing (CSH).

Says Peter O’Neil, UK Sales Director Janex: ”We are launching our new range NEXgen at Ecobuild to demonstrate to the industry that our roots are in sustainable building and environmentally secure credentials. Offering windows with u values as low as 0.7 w/m2K, and composite doors, all our products are produced with FSC Certification and full Chain of Custody. Our products also have a service life of 60 years, even under low maintenance schemes, which can be increased to 80 years when designed into more sheltered conditions in buildings.

“We have always had R+D at the front of our production processes in Norway and we have been developing this new range of products for quite some time. It is a real pleasure to be able to demonstrate our new range of products on Stand N810 at Ecobuild this year at Excel London.”

Janex was the first Scandinavian producer to achieve FSC Certification something the company is really proud of.

“We are now able to help our clients achieve a Code Level 3 upwards house for a very competitive price, using these products. You can increase the energy efficiency with triple glazing. We use warm edge technology where the aluminium space bar between the glazed panels has been replaced with a composite material to make these products even more efficient.   Our timber frames contribute to a better environment as they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere –making them carbon negative. This is being proved in a current research project at the University of Bath, where our Janex NEXgen windows are in the HemPod trial house – which uses a hemp material with lime render.

NEXgen timber windows are also certified Secured by Design, PEFC, CHAS, BM TRADA
BRE A+ RATED, and Janex is a member of the Wood Window Alliance.
Janex is also producing windows which meet Lifetime Homes approval with opening handles no higher than 1200mm from ground level.
