Wood is the only naturally renewable material for windows and doors. Respect for the environment is important to us.
Windows made from timber use less energy in their manufacture. Sustainability is about responsible materials sourcing, waste reduction, carbon emissions and life expectancy of products and how they can be recycled after use. Janex timber windows rate the highest possible scores at A+ in the BRE Green Guide which uses Life Cycle Assessment to measure sustainability. Timber windows are the only type of windows to score an A in the Climate Change Category.
Janex is the first Scandinavian producer to achieve both Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation, and PEFC (the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) on all products for customers.
These are environmental credentials which complete the Chain of Custody which helps you achieve the highest eco points you can get in the Code for Sustainable Homes, the UK government’s standard demanded for the building of environmentally sustainable homes.
We continuously strive for all 8 factory producers, our processes and products to meet or exceed all applicable government regulations relating to the environment.
